These restaurants are either entirely vegan or include several great vegan options on their menu.
Starting in the Mile-End, we're going to head south down Parc before moving on to the Plateau...
1. Dépanneur Le Pick-Up
Starting uptown and working our way down, we have the Mile-End fan-favourite, Dep Le Pick-Up. While they aren't entirely vegan, you can find some awesome vegan options on their menu, like their faux-pulled pork sandwich, which is just too good not to include on this list.
Not only are they known for their awesome coffee and vegan delights, but they've also got live music on almost 24/7, so don't be afraid to linger before heading on to our next stop.
2. La Lumiere du Mile End
Second stop on our crawl is La Lumiere du Mile End on rue Bernard Ouest.
They've got unreal soups and sandwiches along with a daily vegan, gluten-free special every day. Check them out on the weekends for brunch or stop in before work to grab an organic, fair trade coffee or chai latte.
Check out their Facebook page for hours and other details.
3. Café Résonance
Up on Parc at Fairmount, Café Résonance is a great place to grab a vegan bite while taking in some of the city's best jazz.
They also boast some beautiful desserts and knock-out cocktails.
Moving on to the Plateau, there are several Montreal vegan staples not to be missed...
4. Lola Rosa on Parc
Lola Rosa is a vegan haven for all Montrealers, thanks to their super accessible pricing and four locations around the city.
While some vegan and veg restos charge crazy prices for their faux-meat creations, Lola Rosa keeps it casual and creative while still maintaining a reasonable price-point.
5. Aux Vivres on Saint-Laurent
One of Montreal's first meat-free restaurants, Aux Vivres is divisive in the Montreal veg community.
But considering their longstanding dedication to delivering fresh faux-meat fare to Montreal since 1997, they had to be included on this list.
6. ChuChai Fine Cuisine
ChuChai is one of the best places to go if you're wrestling with a craving for Peking duck or ginger beef.
Their Asian-fusion inspired vegan dishes are delicious and perfect to share... or not.
Check out their Facebook or full site for all the details.
7. Nil Bleu
Montreal's favourite Ethiopian restaurant on Saint Denis offers vegan and vegetarian options in a super-authentic atmosphere.
Try the vegan platter for two, pictured above... and I'd suggest you skip the spoon and just go for it.
Heading down into the Village for stops eight, nine and ten...
8. Sushi Momo
If you are a vegan sushi lover then you likely already know about the wonders of Momo Montreal.
If not, you're welcome. These guys know how to do vegan sushi.
After making this list, I'm just dying to head to Yuan to try some of their handmade veggie dumplings and vegan sushi. Plus... they had me at All-You-Can-Eat.
10. Kamehameha Snack-Bar
Right in the heart of the Village, this Hawaiian-inspired cafe offers poke bowls and fish-shaped waffle cones for enjoying their sorbets.
Perfect for forgetting the winter blues.
