Three people were injured last night in Montreal's downtown and Plateau areas. Police responded to three separate stabbings in a little over seven hours.\nThough paramedics do not fear for two of the victim's lives, a third victim, unfortunately, died of his injuries, making this the ninth homicide this year in Montreal.\nAccording to CBC, police were called just before midnight to the scene of a stabbing on the corner of St-Laurent and Maisonneuve.\nThe victim, an eighteen-year-old man, was found with stab wounds in his upper body. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition after paramedics performed chest compressions on the scene.\nThe video below may be disturbing to some: it shows paramedics trying to resuscitate the victim at the scene of the crime.\nBreaking🎥: Police protecting a stabbing scene corner of Maisonneuve and St-Laurent. Police received a call around 11 p.m. Sunday night about this stabbing.\nThe victim, a 39-year old man, was taken to the hospital, but police say that they do not fear for his life. No suspect has been arrested in relation to this incident either.\nSpvm police say they are also investigating fight/stabbing at Ste-Catherine and St-Christophe street overnight. There is no news right now as to whether the two stabbings were related.\nEarly Monday morning, a third man was stabbed on the corner of Henri-Julien and Laurier. Police say that the victim, a 54-year old man, is "severely injured."\nAssault with a weapon. Victim, male 54 y/o severely injuried. A spokesperson with the SPVM confirmed that the stabbing took place after a conflict between two men.
