The accident appears to have been caused by the hazardous road conditions due to the sudden thawing that we have experienced in the last two days. Roads and sidewalks are extremely slippery and drivers must be extra vigilant as breaking distance is longer.

The car skidded off the road and onto the sidewalk, where it crashed into a bus shelter. Heavy traffic is to be expected in this area.

No injuries have been reported. This is a reminder to drivers to be extra careful in the coming days, as the unpredictable weather leads to very hazardous road conditions.
