A video posted to Facebook last night depicts two Montreal STM officers forecfully attempt to arrest a man at Villa Maria station on the orange line. The eyewitness who posted the video alleges that the man in the video was brutally removed from the metro and subsequently beaten because he was bouncing a basketball in the metro.\nThe video of the attempted arrest emerged on Facebook last night, and at the time of writting it has over 50k views and 1200 shares.\nTL;DR A video on Facebook shows a man being forcefully arrested by STM cops at the Villa-Maria metro station. The man struggles against police officers, yelling "you're hurting me." He eventually breaks away and makes a run for it.\nThe eyewitness told MTLBlog that "apparently the guy was bouncing his ball in the metro car.. I was standing about a cart back as we reach [Villa Maria] I could see the metro cops but I could[n't] see what they were doing."\nHe goes on to state that "as I got off at Villa [Maria metro station], they grabbed him and speared him from off the metro and into the wall. They threw him on the ground and he got up and tried to get away... All the while beating him with their sticks."\nIt is unclear whether or not this man got away, but the eyewitness states that it is a possibility in the comments, stating that the man was nowhere in sight when the eyewitness got out of the metro.\nThe identity of the man and the two police officers remain unknown.
