Woman Caught Defacing Wall With The Most Montreal Graffiti Ever (Video)
She must really love bagels...
Montreal is full of tags and graffiti, all varied in beauty and whimsy. Some tags are clever and others are just plain weird and unreadable. This one we've found today is quite the Montreal classic.
According to an anonymous source, a woman was caught tagging "Bagel 2019" on a building near Dawson College. Our source tells us that "graffiti is an art, but it should be done with the consent of the owner and in the proper context". While bagels are indeed art, I'm not too sure about the artistic value of this one!
TL;DR A woman was caught tagging the phrase "Bagel 2019" on a wall near Dawson College. We have no idea who the woman is or why she wrote this on a wall, but she must really love bagels. Keep scrolling to see the full video!
We have the full video below but here's a are some stills of the vandalism in action.
Here, we see two women entering the alleyway seemingly preparing to smoke a joint away from the street, which we appreciate.
As you can see, on the left of the woman with the hat, there is an empty wall that is begging for a tag, apparently. It's a welcoming sight in an alleyway already ripe with tags.
In this shot, the second woman has disappeared, probably on lookout duty.
The hat woman proceeds to remove a can of white spray paint and begins tagging that tempting AF wall to her left.
For a tagger, I'm impressed by her handwriting. She clearly spells the word "bagel" in evenly sized lettering. Here we see her putting the finishing touches on the "L".
I'm less impressed by her numbering, but maybe she was rushed because someone was coming down the alley. We see the culprit placing the can of spray paint in her bag and walking away.
Here's the full video for your viewing pleasure. As you can see, this woman tags with a trained hand. She's done this before and who knows when she'll strike again!
Is this her tagger name or does she just really love bagels? Is bagel the latest independent political candidate that we should all know about? Is this the beginning of a Montreal bagel cult?
So many questions, so few answers. Montreal "Bagel 2019", whoever or whatever you are, we would love to know your secrets!
