BIXI partners with the STM to offer customers discounts on the different transit methods. Many metro stations now have BIXI docks, so this deal is great for commuters who want to bike to the metro or exercise on weekends.

Right now, OPUS-card holders can take advantage of many deals on BIXI memberships. The STM advises that you "load a monthly STM fare onto your OPUS card, and pay your 30-day membership for only $17 instead of the regular price of $ 34."

You can also save if you buy a yearly subscription to BIXI. If you sign up for BIXI and OPUS à l’année or OPUS & Cie, you can save $59.

Essentially, you get a $20 discount on your one-year BIXI membership and a $39 discount on your STM subscription, totalling $59 in savings.

The yearly BIXI subscription normally costs $94.

If you want to dip your toes without commiting to a subscription, you will still get a discount: holders of an OPUS card without photo pay $2.50 for a one-way BIXI ride — a 15% discount off the regular price.
