Montreal's STM Launches New Hilarious Automated Metro Announcements
Riders can expect to hear them all over the coming weeks.
Montreal's STM just launched a new rider awareness-style campaign to inform commuters of all the questionable actions and decisions they take which ultimately negatively impact service quality.
TL;DR In 2017, the STM recoded 4-days worth of service interruptions that were linked to clients. Now, the STM has created some hilarious video clips to educate riders on which actions are the most hurtful to service. You can expect the hear the recordings of the videos blasting out the metro's audio system in the coming weeks and months.
When the metro is down or stalled for some reason, we are quick to point the finger at the STM, blaming them for the poor and inefficient service.
When in reality, service interruptions are usually the result of the actions of a commuter, and not the actual STM.
The evidence is in the official numeber.
In 2017, the STM recorded over 5653 minutes of service interruptions that were linked to clients. That's the equivalent of 4 whole days!
As a result, the STM is on a mission to educate riders on which actions are the most hurtful to service and hopefully prevent incidents of this nature.
Some hilarious videos have been filmed and uploaded to YouTube by the STM featuring the one-and-only star and voice of the metro for the past 15-years, Michèle Deslauriers.
Here are the videos themseleves, and you can expect the hear the recordings of the videos blasting out the metro's audio system in the coming weeks and months.
