PETA has taken to the streets of Montreal for a very scandalous, but still quite important, protest on the relationship between natural resources and meat production.

The protest is taking place in the heart of downtown, on St. Catherine in the Promenades Cathédrale area.

To raise the awareness on the amount of water wasted to produce livestock for consumption, the protest features two young women taking a bath in a tub marked with: "1 steak = 50 baths. Clean your Conscience: Go Vegan"

A similar protest was held in California only yesterday, so it seems as if this is an international initiative to spread awareness through public bathing PETA.

Learn more about the issue and how meat production wastes natural resources here.

Is this an effective protest?
