Photo by: @daniele_vin A post shared by Visit Costa Rica (@visit_costarica) on Sep 11, 2018 at 11:16am PDT An "exercise high degree of caution" for Costa Rica has been put in effect since mid-September due to "crime." Although about 6-months ago I traveled to Costa Rica with my boyfriend and we had no issues, it's always wise to keep in mind objective danger you could potentially run into during your travels to Central America. More info 4. China - Exercise a high degree of caution View this post on Instagram Китайский 🇨🇳 . Очень интересно узнать 🙂 A post shared by Veronica | Учеба За Границей (@_nikulyalee) on Sep 18, 2018 at 8:10am PDT China's status on the travel advisory list was updated mid-September due to Typhoon Mangkhut. Also, the Canadian government warns of isolated acts of violence occurring around the country, including bombings and protests. More info 5. More info 7. Jamaica - Exercise a high degree of caution @jstandley99embedded via Jamaica was added in early September due to the high level of violent crime and a state of emergency in one of Jamaica's northern regions. I was sad to hear this because Jamaica is one of my favorite destinations. I've been there twice, and I've never had any issues and always felt safe and welcomed by the warm-hearted locals. However, crime-related violence is a real issue in the country. But as a tourist, if you "exercise a degree of caution" you should be just fine. More info 8.
