Over 40,000 Quebecers Have No Power After Isaias Swept Over The Province
It's now moving northeast.
Isaias, now a post-tropical storm, "left significant amounts of rain over several regions of Quebec," according to an Environment Canada weather summary. As of 7:16 a.m., over 40,000 Hydro-Québec customers are without power.
Those outages are concentrated in the Capitale-Nationale region, where 27,485 people have no electricity.

Charlevoix (Massif), Trois-Rivières, Nicolet, Shawinigan, and Drummondville lead the rainfall totals as of 6:31 a.m. with, 120 mm, 100 mm, 86 mm, 83 mm, and 79 mm, respectively.
Downtown Montreal received 45 mm of rain at the last count at the same time.
The Environment Canada forecast for Wednesday shows potential for rainfall until 3:00 p.m. in Montreal.
