Fashion and Rihanna lovers everywhere are celebrating the news today that Fenty, the international superstar's fashion label, has officially partnered with LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton to release a line of luxury clothing. In January, Fenty announced plans that a high-profile fashion project was in the works. Fenty and Dior released a line of sunglasses that gave everyone a look into what was in store for Rihanna's label. This announcement marks the first time in the history of LVMH that a woman of colour will lead a luxury fashion label. In a statement, Fenty and LVMH announced that the first releases would be in Spring 2019, with items appearing on her online store in the coming weeks. The label will be “centred on Rihanna, developed by her, and takes shape with her vision in terms of ready-to-wear, shoes and accessories, including commerciality and communication of the brand.” In the same statement this morning, Rihanna said that Bernard Arnaud, chairman and CEO of LVMH is giving her "a unique opportunity to develop a fashion house in the luxury sector, with no artistic limits. I couldn’t imagine a better partner both creatively and business-wise, and I’m ready for the world to see what we have built together.” View this post on Instagram @fenty . Rihanna launched Fenty Beauty in September 2017 and has seen incredible success. Her innovative range of beauty products features 50 different shades and tones in order to include all types of skin tones and gender identities. Fenty Beauty is one of the world's highest-selling beauty brands. Rihanna has long been a champion of marginalized groups and aims to include everyone with her Fenty line. We can expect that her clothing line will be no different from her beauty line as she's been given complete creative control. View this post on Instagram We bout to get real Xtra!
