Someone Stole A Car In Montreal And Crashed It Into Two Houses This Morning
Police have no idea how this happened.
Typically on an early Tuesday morning you're going to try and get as much sleep as you can before the day starts. Not only do most of us have work early in the morning, but Tuesdays are always that odd day of the week where everyone is just a little bit cranky.
Well, imagine how magnified all those feelings would be if you woke to someone crashing through your house with a car? Yes, this totally happened this morning to two unlucky homes.
A stolen car was crashed completely through one house and slammed into another around 12:30AM today on Lac-Saint-Louis Road in Léry, on Monteal's South Shore.
The area is a small, quiet neighbourhood, so it's a pretty big surprise that someone would decide to steal a car and coincidentally crash it there. Châteauguay police are investigating the incident throughout the day, but sound just as confused as the rest of us.

People were inside both homes during the time of the freak accident, but luckily no one was injured. The driver had a few mild injuries, but they'll most likely be treated while police try and figure out how and why they stole a car only to massively damage people's homes soon after.
The message here is to remember to lock your cars, Montreal. You never know who's waiting to find a "free" getaway vehicle.
