We discussed gender roles and expectations particularly with regards to the holidays. Expectations we put on ourselves as women and expectations put on us by others. We inspired each other with stories from different traditions and generations and supported each other in conversations that allowed for each to redefine their own story. We finished off the evening with thanksgiving creations. These plates and paintings are symbols of the things we are thankful for as we hear each other, celebrate each other and learn from each other in compassion, respect love and laughter!
