When is 13 Reasons Why season 2 coming to Netflix? We now know the answer!

Earlier today, Netflix sent fans of 13 Reasons Why into a frenzy with a cryptic live stream and teaser video. 

Immediately, social media blew up with fans wondering what the heck was going on. There was speculation on many dates, and just about everyone chimed in.

The teaser video featured polaroids shots in lieu of the famous Hannah Baker recorded cassette tapes seen in the first season. By the end of the short video, one polaroid read "the truth is developing."

Social media sleuths were quick to note that there was a numeric code stamp on one of the Polaroid shots - which commenced a full-on investigation.

It didn't take too long before fans started to figure out the potential premiere, and now we have an official date for the new season!

Season 2 picks up directly in the aftermath of Hannah's death and the start of the characters' complicated journeys toward healing and recovery.

Liberty High prepares to go on trial, but someone will stop at nothing to keep the truth surrounding Hannah's death concealed. A series of ominous polaroids lead Clay and his classmates to uncover a sickening secret and conspiracy to cover it up. 

Netflix and 13 Reasons Why will be adding new resources to 13ReasonsWhy.info, including a new Discussion Guide and Discussion Series.

The new series will see the cast address issues including bullying, sexual assault, and drug abuse. These resources are available all the time for anyone struggling with an issue and who needs to reach out for help. 

13 Reasons Why Season 2 premieres May 18th, 2018.
