This Montreal Woman Is Making The Next BIG "Star Wars" Video Game
And she's opening up a brand new game studio.
Here's a little tidbit you may not have known about, one of the most influential game developers in Canada comes from Montreal. Meet Jade Raymond, she's been working in the industry for the last 20 years and she even worked as a producer on the very first Assassin's Creed game.
According to Vice, Raymond left Ubisoft earlier this year and has since opened Motive Studios which is the newest division of EA games. And the best part is, she's setting it up right here in Montreal. Forget it, that wasn't the best part. She also announced that the project they're working is none other than the new Star Wars game.
When Disney purchased LucasFilm and consequently the rights to the Star Wars franchise, they closed down the game division and gamers were worried that there wouldn't be any new games coming out. Well the good news is that there will plenty of Star Wars Game to come. Rumor has it, they are working on a previously abandoned project named Star Wars 1313, a massive action game based on Bobba Fet's origin story.
