I don't know if you heard the obnoxiously violent wind blowing through the city last night, but it was so loud that it kept me awake.

I checked the Weather Network and a warning had officially been issued in Montreal for wind gusts up to 80 km/hour. Which according to the Beaufort Wind Scale and The Weather Network is strong enough to rip off tree branches and potentially damage property and injur people.

Hydro Quebec even warned everyone ahead of time with this Tweet.

That said, this morning Quebec City, Montreal and the Chaudière-Appalaches region are the most heavily affected by power outages and over 200 Hydro Quebec teams are working on restoring power in these areas.
