In case you missed it, Montreal had added a brand new music festival to the city's insanely saturated annual roster.\nFestival Santa Teresa went down over this past May long weekend, and it promised a ton of local and international acts in a cool setting - so very Montreal.\nNick Murphy (aka Chet Fake), Feist, Heartstreets and more were all on the bill - and to be honest, I'm quite choked I missed it. The FOMO is real!\nREAD ALSO: Here's Everything You Need To Know About Laval's First-Ever Comedy Festival\nThat was until later last night when videos started circling social media of a mini-riot that broke out after one of the international artists was forced to cancel their set having not let pass through customs.\nLil Uzi Vert, a young rapper out of Philidelphia, failed to pass through Canadian customs, and the Festival Santa Teresa organizers only announced this to the crowd at 11:30 p.m. Sunday.\nAbout 100 audience members and fans of the rapper went a little wild and started to vandalize the music festival set-up! A real shame.\nAudio equipment and municipal property was the target of the audience's angst over not seeing Lil Uzi Vert. Sometimes artists can't make it into town for a variety of reasons, and this is far from the first time that board crossing hiccups have caused a cancellation.\nI don’t understand why they booked trippie redd knowing he doesn’t have a passport. Take it easy! Artists and organizers try their best and it doesn't always work out as planned.\nSorry to the Festival Santa Teresa organizers - this is unfortunate for their first year.\nPolice say that nobody was injured, and no arrests have been made. They are looking for "information about the event", though.\nBetter luck next year, Festival Santa Teresa!
