The festival game has come a long way since the dawn of days like Woodstock. Even the first ever Osheaga was thirteen years ago, in September 2006.\nNowadays, people travel far and wide to experience music fests like Coachella and Lollapalooza, so lineups are scrutinized now more than ever.\nAnd it seems that the much-anticipated Osheaga lineup has let down more than a couple fans.\nREAD ALSO: Everything New Coming To Osheaga This Summer 2019\nTL;DR People have been yearning for the Osheaga 2019 lineup, and now that it has dropped, the opinions are coming out...\nSome of the artists were teased yesterday and the full announcement was dropped today at noon.\nBefore long, people took to Twitter to share their disappointment.\n#osheaga lineup gets a solid 3.5/10 this year\n— •kayla• (@kayla__danis) March 26, 2019\nosheaga this year sucks as much as fyre fest\n— KAYLA (@kayypow) March 26, 2019\nnot impressed by the osheaga lineup\n— 🦋cathie🦋 (@lordcathard) March 26, 2019\nThe reality is that music is a subjective thing and people are inevitably going to have differing opinions. You can't please everyone.\nBut Osheaga has been known for amazing lineups, year after year, so people definitely have high expectations at this point.\nNext year will mark a decade since I was excited about an Osheaga lineup.\n— Anthony Hansen // Vivi Hahn // HANSA (@hansainallcaps) March 26, 2019\nNo Black Keys or Greta Van Fleet at osheaga? No thanks...\n— Lucas G (@LucasGcalcio3) March 26, 2019\nWas worried about missing out on Osheaga this year but nope LOL that shits looking lame af\n— T🌷 (@tiffnunes1) March 26, 2019\nAnd with a pretty steep ticket price, it takes a solid handful of artists that really excite before people are ready to drop that kinda dough for a show.\nThat said, Osheaga does have a lot of other perks that make buying a ticket worth it. The Hammock Village and the YUL Eat Garden are both notable perks that are coming back to the Jean Drapeau location this year.\nOsheaga 2019.... WTF? Janelle Monae is the obvious Saturday headliner. Fix it.\n— jdaikman (@jdaikman) March 26, 2019\nAre you excited for the lineup this year? Or is this year getting a pass?\nStay posted for more Osheaga news along with lineup releases for all your Montreal music festivals.
