Today is a day to appreciate mothers around the world and everything they do for their children. On Sunday, May 10, Quebec Premier François Legault shared a kind-hearted message for his mother, his wife, and all the other mamas that help make our province the place that it is. "Every year, Mother's Day is an opportunity to think about and visit your mother. This time, like many of you, my heart is heavy because I won't be able to visit my mother," he started off his message by saying. Legault then told us that since his mother is 91 years old, she is currently part of the vulnerable group in society right now. The Premier has actively been saying that we must "help the most vulnerable," and it is for this reason that the majority of us cannot see our mothers today. "I would like to hug my mom. But, for now, we have to protect our older mothers to keep them with us for a long time to come," Legault continued. As he usually does, the Premier ended his Mother's Day message full of positivity and hope, which you can read below. Besides his mother, he also took the time to wish his wife Isabelle a happy Mother's Day. 💐💕 A post shared by François Legault (@francoislegault.pm) on May 10, 2020 at 4:00am PDT "The other woman in my life is of course my wife @isabelle_brais, who is also the mother of my two guys." "The most precious thing we have, Isabelle and I, are our two boys, two men in the process of accomplishment. They owe it all to their mother, to whom I pay tribute today," he wrote. He also wished all other Quebec mothers a happy Mother's Day. This isn't the first time Premier Legault shares kind messages about his wife on social media. Bonne fête @isabelle_brais 😘 A post shared by François Legault (@francoislegault.pm) on Apr 1, 2020 at 4:30am PDT When he wished her happy birthday on April 1, Legault wrote: "I have a very tender thought for the one who gives me the strength and courage to serve you, rain or shine." And in looking at government figures who are offering kind messages this Mother's Day, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also shared one. Wishing all the mamas out there a very happy Mother's Day!
