Each small cake that we donate comes with a message of encouragement. The idea is to support, encourage and cheer up – if it’s only for a moment – those who need it most in these difficult times. Rawesome cakes are rich and nourishing (cashew-based, vegan and organic), and will serve to boost morale and strength of many. We have recently, on March 31st, brought some joy to the lives of the elderly and employees of the EVA Lavaltrie residence which was heavily affected by COVID-19, and we are giving very soon to the frontline nurses at the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal. We are getting calls from even more hospitals to support frontline workers fighting against COVID-19, and we now need your help to continue giving. All donations can be made on our website at: http://www.rawesome.ca/donnez-un-gateau Our next objective is to give a small cake to each frontline worker at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC), and the Verdun Hospital. Rawesome will contribute 15% of all donations, and will deliver. Our small cakes are pre-packaged in their respective boxes and require no manipulation, allowing efficient and safe distribution. Together we can make a difference. THANK YOU ALL! / The Rawesome team http://www.rawesome.ca/donnez-un-gateau A post shared by Rawesome (@rawesomefoodz) on Apr 5, 2020 at 4:49pm PDT\nRawsome donated cakes to each resident of EVA-Lavaltrie, the senior residence most heavily affected by the coronavirus. It’s in moments like these that we have to come together as one and help out the ones sacrificing the most. A few days ago, we at Fiorellino decided to open up shop and donate 100 pizzas. We called our staff and admiringly they all came out to help. We then proceeded to reach out to the 4 major hospitals in our vicinity and the 100 pieces became 200. Here are a few pictures of how our day went and the honour we had to meet some of our real life health heroes. Very proud of everyone on our team! Also a big thank you to Dr. Frederick Dankoff that help us coordinate it all! #staysafe #healthheroes #pizzaforagoodcause #fiorellinomtl A post shared by Fiorellino (@fiorellinosnackbar) on Mar 30, 2020 at 4:29pm PDT\nThis popular Montreal eatery donated over 200 pizzas to hospital workers throughout the city.\nAnd you can now get your own Fiorellino pizza delivery, too. Julie and I are constantly thinking of all those on the front lines helping take care of others during this unthinkable time all over the world, but especially back in Montreal. They have taken such good care of us & our kids over the years we can’t help but have those doctors, nurses and staff members on our hearts during this unfathomable time! The around the clock hours they are working to help fight this crazy virus is nothing short of heroic. I’m sure they would say “I’m just doing my job”, but to us it’s more than that. These selfless individuals are not only putting themselves at risk, but are also dealing with the same stresses that come along with these circumstances when they go home. We want them to know we are thinking of them & supporting them. . The Petrys just want to say thank you! But even “thank you” doesn’t seem like enough. A small way we can show our support is by offering a meal from a couple of our favorite local restaurants. So, starting tomorrow March 29th, @mandysalads (Westmount location only 514-227-1640 ) and @notreboeufdegrace (NDG location only 514-369-9090) will each have $2,500.00 tabs open for hospital employees to call in an order to pick up on us. All you have to do when you call in your order is tell them you work for the hospital, and make sure you present your hospital ID/ badge upon pick up (limit one meal per employee). We hope this meal will give you a smile during this stressful time! ♥️ The Petry Family . . #healthcareheroes #mtl A post shared by Jeff Petry (@jeffpetry26) on Mar 28, 2020 at 4:44pm PDT\nThis NHL player and his wife have gone above and beyond to make a difference.
