This event has left employees of the Montreal Canadiens and the Laval Rockets, amongst other teams, without employment. But, luckily for the employees of these two teams, the Club de hockey Canadien and the Rocket organization have ensured that their employees will be taken care of during this difficult time.\nThe following information is stated on the NHL's official website: "For employees who aren't eligible to receive employment insurance, the organization will pay 75% of the employee's salary they would have received for the remaining regular-season games of the Montreal Canadiens (4 games) or the Laval Rocket (8 games)."\nEmployees of the Montreal Canadiens and the Laval Rocket will be receiving 95% of their expected salary for the remainder of the season, which is the highest amount that Service Canada will allow to qualify for complete employment insurance.\nThis is thanks to the fact that the organization is increasing its employees' EI benefits by a total of 40%.\nREAD ALSO: The Montreal Canadiens' Season Is Officially Suspended Due To COVID-19\nThe official press release about this employment news describes it as "special measures to offset the impact of this unprecedented crisis on the 1,200 game-day employees of the Montreal Canadiens and the Laval Rocket."
