Since almost every Montrealer is curious about exactly how much a Habs player makes, MTL Blog decided to make a list of Montreal Canadiens' salaries for the 2019-2020 season. The list includes the 10 highest-paid players, along with three of the youngest best-paid players on the team. Find out just how much some Habs players are making this season! Visit MTLBlog for more headlines. Even if a Montrealer doesn't watch hockey, it's likely that they at least know some of the Habs players' names. And once you know a local celebrity's name, you typically start to imagine their salary (unless that's just me). But assuming I'm not alone in this inquiry, I decided to make a list of the Montreal Canadiens' salaries for the 2019-2020 season, which includes the 10 highest-paid players, along with three players ages 21 and under who are making a whole lot of money at a young age. For the three young players that I've listed at the end, I've added their maximum potential performance bonuses, which is what players on an entry-level contract can receive. Basically, this is the amount of money they can make on top of the salary they were already promised if they have a good season, which, as you'll see below, can go up to an extra $2,500,000. Some of their salaries are already locked in for the 2020-2021 season, while others aren't, which means some may have to be a little more concerned about saving than others. But honestly, if I was making 7 million in a season, would I be worried about saving money? I doubt it. I got all the data from Cap Friendly and Spotrac, and I focused on salaries, not cap hits. The salaries listed are the players' base salaries plus their signing bonuses unless otherwise noted. The salaries are also all in USD. So, for the Canadians reading this, if you think the numbers are big, they're even bigger in CAD.
