Best Montreal Places To Watch The Euro Cup 2016
Celebrate that goal.

Honestly, guys, I am so freaking excited for the 2016 Euro Cup. To me, there is nothing more fun than crowding into a cafe/bar/living room/basement, grabbing a nice coffee, and watching your favourite team go to town (sidenote: Forza Azzuri 2016!).
Of course, it might be a little confusing to know where exactly to go to watch your fave team win. There are tons of spots in Montreal, but only a handful offer the true Euro Cup experience; don't worry about it, though. I got your back.
Any Team:
1. MVP Sports Bar
TBH, this spot has everything you could possibly ask for in an awesome sports bar. Good food, great service, an awesome location (right in downtown Montreal), and a vibe that just won't quit, definitely get yourself to MVP Sports Bar ASAP to cheer on your fave Euro team.
2. Chez Serge
At this stage in the game, it's safe to say that pretty much everyone knows about Chez Serge. It's that awesome bar on the Main with the mechanical bull... and also happens to be one of the most perfect spots in the city to creep your favourite team hustling for this year's Euro Cup. Get yourselves there ASAP, friends, and prepare to rejoice.
Croatia:
3. PJ's Pub
Croatia fan? Then this is probably where you're heading to to check out the game. PJ's Pub features awesome - and inexpensive - food, a very comfortable and homey vibe, and some super nice staff members, making your Euro Cup experience something seriously beautiful.
Ireland:
4. McLean's Pub
This friendly and spacious pub is honestly one of the most awesome spots to come and chill with friends, grab a (seriously tasty) bite, and cheer on your favourite team. Just as long as it's Ireland. (Kidding, kidding).
5. Irish Embassy Pub
Feel like cheering on your favourite team while chilling on a gorgeous, fun terrasse and noshing on some seriously tasty pub food? Of course you do! And the good news is that you've found your spot, friends. Irish Embassy Pub offers all of this and more, so you can get your Euro Cup on in style.
Spain:
6. Club Español de Quebec
Not only does the Club Español de Quebec boast some seriously tasty food - their tapas are top notch, TBH - and some awesome wine, but they also happen to be one incredibly friendly, welcoming place to go and cheer on Spain as they show off their serious soccer skills during this year's Euro Cup.
England & Wales:
7. Burgundy Lion
If you're looking for a super fun time, then stop the search. You've found Burgundy Lion, and that's all you're going to need. This spot boasts a fantastically fun and friendly atmosphere, and some incredibly tasty food, all of which make it a prime place to don your jersey and cheer on your fave team.
8. Bishop & Bagg
This Mile End spot is one seriously top notch place to chill with friends and grab an amazingly tasty drink, and some seriously awesome food, while watching the game. They've got an undeniably vibrant and fun atmosphere, too, so you know for sure that there's no way you'll be bored at Bishop & Bagg.
Germany:
9. Das Bier
Legit, Das Bier is one of my favourite spots. Not only is the vibe super cozy and inviting, and not only is their food incredibly tasty (s/o to their German sausages), but they've got tons of televisions and comfy spots to watch the game and cheer on Germany.
Belgium:
10. Bier Markt
1221 Boulevard René-Lévesque O
Boasting one seriously huge and amazing selection of beer, and a super fun and trendy vibe that just can't be beat, Bier Markt is one awesome spot for you and your friends to chill, enjoy a pint or two, and go nuts as your fave team shows off their incredible soccer skills.
France:
11. Bar Monsieur Ricard
Bar Monsieur Ricard is known for serving up tasty cocktails and awesome food in an intimate and super friendly environment... which makes them prime spot to go and cheer on France during this year's Euro Cup. No worries if you're not exactly a France lover, though: they'll be showing every single game this year, so you can go and show your fave team all the support.
12. L'Barouf
Friends, who here is down to relax in the Plateau and enjoy a beer while showing support to their fave team? Everyone? Great! Because at L'Barouf, that's exactly what you're going to get. So pull on those jerseys, pick a good seat, and prepare for one awesome time.
Portugal:
14. Cafe Central
If you were searching for one seriously authentic Portuguese spot in Montreal, then search no further. Cafe Central Portugais, located in the heart of the Plateau, serves up authentic food and drink, and screens the games, so that you can cheer on Portugal's soccer team while noshing on a dish of the most legit Portuguese food you can find.
Italy:
16. Cafe Olimpico
Honestly, you cannot beat the vibe at Olimpico. This Mile End shop serves up some awesome coffee (s/o to their Remix, a cold mix of all their best concoctions), and a vibrant, electric crowd when it comes time to watch Italy show off their soccer skills.
17. Cafe Vito
Featuring the tastiest cannoli - and some of the best coffee - around, this Villeray cafe also boasts a fun, electric vibe around game time, and is one of the most solid places to go and check out Italy play.
18. Cafe Milano
Montreal's famous Cafe Milano is not only one of the most on point places to get coffee, salads, sandwiches, desserts, and much more - it also happens to be one of the best places to chill and watch Italy play some serious soccer.
