Here’s The Ultimate Concordia University Student Bucketlist To Make Your Fall 2016 Semester Epic
Things you can actually look forward to doing.

It's about that time where all of our summers are slowly starting to come to a close and the thoughts of school are creeping into our minds. Concordia students from all over are being pulled from their beach vacations, saying goodbye to their summer jobs, and packing up their suitcases to head back to their Montreal homes.
It sounds like a sad time, school is about to start and we're going to have to get back into that homework grind very soon. But don't be too sad about it. School doesn't have to mean just homework, it also means parties, free things and chill times with friends!
Concordia has some amazing events during the fall semester and below I've compiled a list of all the best things you can look forward to this semester. And I can assure you, there will be way more events released throughout the school year. This list is just to give you a little taste of the good times to come this semester at Concordia!
1. The Homecoming Stingers Football Game
The homecoming football game is always a good time. It's bound to bring out so many Concordia students and Stingers supporters that it's basically a big party where the focus is on the amazing Concordia athletes! It's scheduled for September 24th this year so make sure to show up and show your support while having a crazy fun time.
2. ASFA Pre-Frosh Mixer
Everyone knows about ASFA Frosh week because it's just that crazy. But did you know ASFA was holding a pre-frosh party open to all Concordia students, not just those who have signed up for Frosh! How amazing is that? They're holding it next week on the 31st of August at our very own Reggie's Bar.
Check out their Facebook event for even more info!
3. Frosh, Of Course!
We all know the craziness that is Frosh week, but it's definitely something all Concordia students should be looking forward to. ASFA and CASAJMSB are holding their famous Frosh weeks and tickets are still on sale now! Their insane parties are being held from August 31st-September 4th, next week!
5. Sustainable Food Festival
Concordia is holding a food festival this September in our very own EV Building downtown. Entrance to the event is totally free and the purpose is to educate students on sustainability and how to properly use compost bins around campus. It will take place on the 6th, 7th, 8th, 13th, and 14th! Come check it out for some amazing sustainable food.
6. Student Association Pub Crawls
Basically every student association holds their own pub crawls, and sometimes multiple will combine together to make crazy big ones! They usually occur after midterms are over and before the finals crunch sets in. Keep a look out for your student association advertising theirs!
7. Student Association Halloween Parties
Halloween in Montreal is a crazy time, people literally go insane this time of year and it's because there's just so many crazy parties available. At Concordia, it's no different. Halloween is a great time of year because basically every student association holds their own halloween party and it can get out of control! In a good way of course.
8. Pet Therapy During Midterms And Finals
Yup, we all know the horrible time that is midterms and finals. We're all holed up in the library for days on end, barely seeing the light of day trying to cram as much information into our brains as we can manage. It's stressful to say the least. But the amazing thing about Concordia is the fact that they bring in some adorable pups during both midterms and finals for something that's called pet therapy. Petting dogs is shown to reduce stress!
9. Free Food!
Concordia really spoils us with all the free food they offer. The Loyola Hive offers a free lunch everyday and so does People's Potato on the downtown campus! It's so lucky that we have this at Concordia, and a bonus is that all the food is vegan and super healthy and delicious! So bring your reusable containers and get into that free lunch groove this semester.
10. The Club Street Fair
Every year the CSU holds a street fair in the first week of school right beside the Concordia Hall Building on Mackay Street. This is definitely something you should consider hitting up. You'll be able to see all the awesome clubs Concordia has to offer and maybe you'll find one that you fit into! You can talk to the club leaders and members and find out everything about what each club does.
11. CSU Orientation
If Frosh just isn't your thing and you just don't feel like getting blackout drunk with first year Concordians, don't worry there's other options! The Concordia Student Union, one of the best student run groups at Concordia, offers their own orientation during the first weeks of school every year!
They have some amazing free music events during the day and parties during the night you can attend as well. They haven't yet released any of the events but if you follow their social media I'm sure you'll be hearing about them all very soon!
