At this stage in the game, I think my obsession with cheese has been made very clear to the whole, entire world. Whatever, though. There's no shame in loving a good camembert more than loving the company of most people - and, honestly, what's a plate of pasta without a whole entire mountain of gooey, tasty Parmigiano to bring out all the flavours? Cheese is basically one of my main reasons for getting out of bed in the morning. I know I sound crazy, but it is what it is.\nAnd I know I can't be alone on this one (hopefully). Cheese seems to be one of those foods that, if you love it, you really, really love it. And now, cheese lovers of Montreal, I've got some pretty awesome news for you.\nThe Canadian Cheese Awards' Tasting Gala will be taking place in Montreal this year on April 14, at the Palais des Congrès. What does this mean for you, cheese loving friends? Well, I'm glad you asked.\nThe Tasting Gala will feature 100 artisanal, made-in-Canada cheeses. Which is amazing in and of itself - except that these cheeses? Yeah. They happen to be the finalist cheeses of the Canadian Cheese Awards; so not only are you getting some sweet, sweet cheese, but you happen to be getting the best cheese in Canada.\nThe gala also features beers, wines, and much more; tickets run for $25, and can be purchased here. And, if this sounds like your new favourite cheese-vent (sorry, that one was a little weak), then don't forget to check out their website or Facebook event page for more information.\nAdd mtlblog on Snapchat.
