Just in case you've been wondering which instructors to follow for free online yoga classes, we made a list of eleven Montrealers who are worth checking out.\nFind out whose virtual yoga lessons you should consider following below!\nVisit MTLBlog for more headlines.\nDuring this difficult time, it's important to stay both relaxed and busy. With all of us in quarantine due to the coronavirus pandemic, there are a ton of things you can do within the confinement of your home to stay healthy and motivated. Luckily for us Montrealers, we have some amazing instructors and studios who are offering free virtual yoga classes to keep our bodies moving while we spend so much time inside.\nMany local Montreal yoga studios, as well as individual teachers, have been turning to Instagram to give their followers free virtual classes.\nFollowing these online courses will both help you in staying grounded, and give you something productive and positive to do while in quarantine.\nFor those who have never done yoga, this is a great opportunity to try it out. Yoga does wonders for your body, mind, and soul.\nNow is the time to start taking care of yourself. While it's easy to get lost in the sea of junk food and Netflix, that doesn't make us feel too good about ourselves. That's why I'm so grateful for these yoga courses that I can do from the comfort of my own home.\nErica Diamond\nInstagram: @ericadiamond\nView this post on Instagram Again, I am grateful for my community who keeps reaching out daily. Since we all know self-care is at the top of the priority list for ourselves and our loved ones these days, I decided I would teach one of my favorite self-care tips. As you know, I’ll be going live here every day this week at 12pm EST, and because of your feedback, have decided to make this Friday’s 12pm Instagram live, a zen flow yoga class. All levels welcome. I’ll share a playlist you can practice to as well, since all my classes are set to empowering music. I’ll see you on the mat this Friday, which also happens to be International Day of Happiness. You have the next few days to purchase or borrow a mat (just make sure you clean it well), if you don’t already own one. And as I say when I teach corporate yoga, and many are given a yoga mat for their very first time, “Let this be the beginning of your journey into wellness and self-care. You now own your very own yoga mat, which you can step on to when you need inspiration, quiet or a safe space to detach and go inside yourself. Magic can happen if you allow it, every time you step onto this mat.” . Grab lunch, or a cup of tea or coffee and join me today at noon (and every day this week), and again, I’ll see you this Friday for a zen flow. 🙏🏼🧘🏻♀️🧘🏾♂️ A post shared by Erica Diamond (@ericadiamond) on Mar 16, 2020 at 6:41am PDT\nModo Yoga\nInstagram: @modoyogamontreal\nView this post on Instagram Deepen your Yin practice this Sunday 8 March, while also deepening your commitment to climate action 🌎🌿 This special workshop with @amyyaccato is designed to help you release deep-seated tensions in the body and mind. I begin to understand deeply that consistency, discipline as well as healing and recovery are more like cycles or messy loop trails and not necessarily a straight, organized and clean road. Even tough I sometimes feel like I’m still seeing the same old landscape, there’s a bit more awareness each time. Discovering more depths and layers, through the density of the forest that my mind often feels like. With curiosity, compassion, and patience. #coursenligne #yogaenligne #yogafrance #yogamontreal #profdeyoga #homeyoga A post shared by Asana Records | Marie Danjou (@asanarecords) on Mar 24, 2020 at 2:41pm PDT\nKimiko Tao Fujimoto\nInstagram: @schoolofritual\nView this post on Instagram A Return to Prana ⠀ To our Life Force ⠀ ⠀ Today I did my first Instagram Live practice for the @modoyogagriffintown community. ⠀ ⠀ As always, I am shy presenting myself on film. But once I get going the breath, the prana, the life force, the shakti flows and I learn to trust and let go.⠀ ⠀ Today I spoke upon how the breath follows the the cycles of life, mirroring the times and offering relevant wisdom to embrace the mystery. ⠀ ⠀ The 5 stages of Prana: ⠀ Birth - Inhalation - a new thought, creation, moment ⠀ ⠀ Life - Suspension/ Shift - the sustained quality of feeling the nourishment ⠀ ⠀ Death - Exhale - the dissolution, ending, transformation ⠀ ⠀ Concealment -The pause between breaths, the darkness that holds the unknown, mystery and infinite potential. ⠀ ⠀ Revelation - the impulse to breathe again, the inspiration the new that can come out of the unknown - Our collective rebirth ⠀ ⠀ In the words of Buddha :⠀ In the end, ⠀ These things matter most: ⠀ How well did you love ?⠀ How fully did you live? ⠀ How deeply did you let go? ⠀ ⠀ Take this opportunity to feel inside for the answers, return to your source and breathe it into being. ⠀ ⠀ If you’d like to flow with me please see the replay in Modo Yoga Griffintown story, plus they have classes online live almost every hour! I will be back Friday at 10 am for Kundalini Glow.⠀ ⠀ Because of this initiation I have decided to make a few more live Illumination Events on my personal feed each day this week at 10 am. The yoga ritual includes: myth, mantra, movement, kriyas, meditation, sound, and connection, hope to see you there.⠀ ⠀ 3/17 at 10 am ⠀ 3/18 at 10 am ⠀ 3/19 at 10 am ⠀ 3/20 at 10 am @modoyogagriffintown ⠀ ⠀ All my love in the great mystery ⠀ Kimiko ⠀ Pants by @yogaforair ( yoga for the jungle initiative) ⠀#illumination #prana #modoyogagriffintown #schoolofritual ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ A post shared by ｋｉｍｉｋｏ ｔａｏ ｆｕｊｉｍｏｔｏ (@schoolofritual) on Mar 16, 2020 at 9:00am PDT\nSatu Yoga\nInstagram: @satu.yoga\nView this post on Instagram We cultivate love when we allow our most vulnerable and powerful selves to be deeply seen and known, and when we honour the spiritual connection that grows from the offering with trust, respect, kindness, and affection. Love is not something we give or get; it is some thing that we nurture and grow, a connection that can only be cultivated between two people when it exists within each one of them— we can only love others as much as we love ourselves. Shame, blame, disrespect, betrayal, and the withholding of affection damage the roots from which love grows. Love can only survive these injuries if they are acknowledged, healed, and rare. —Brené Brown • Learn how you can implement gratitude & love into your yoga practice with us, as of March 3rd 💛 YOGA SCHEDULE IS UP!
