  • If you're looking for a place to let your inner child out this holiday season, Complexe Desjardins has got you covered.

As the month of December approaches, many Montreal locals start to slowly put up their Christmas trees and decorate their homes with Santa hats, snowglobes, and anything else that looks like it came from the North Pole. While many of us individually start to decorate, buildings around the city also begin to have green, red, and white lights all over them. And if you've lived in Montreal long enough, you know Complexe Desjardins always comes through with beautiful Christmas décor to get us all in the holiday mood.

And, this year is no different! If anything, La Complexe Desjardins upped its Christmas game this time around.

Starting on Saturday, November 23, the big kid in you and the children in your family can get together to go visit Santa at the complex! You'll be able to find the white-bearded man in La Grande-Place starting at 1:30 p.m. It'll be hard to miss him since he's right in the middle of the 3D Christmas tree set up.

Before that, you can take advantage of the face painting station to look extra festive in your photos with him. Okay, maybe save this one for the kids - but power to ya if you leave the mall painted like an elf.

Santa isn't the only attraction that's coming to Complexe Desjardins this holiday season, though! Its iconic “boréale fountain” is back for another year and ready to get all of your senses in the Christmas spirit.

This fountain isn't exactly what you'd expect since it's a digital one, that has an entire light show that goes with it. So, no water wasted!

If the digital fountain and real-life Santa weren't enough to convince you to make your way over to Complexe Desjardins, its Holiday Kingdom, which is where Santa resides, is sure to sell you. In this festive kingdom, you'll be able to ride on a miniature train. What better way to embrace your inner child?

Complexe Desjardins is naming its entire Christmas setup "Le Noël de Lëon," which happens to be the name of this statue you see below. If you look at the name for more than 5 seconds, you realize it's Noël spelled backwards - so really it's the Christmas of Christmas!

You'll also be able to find a virtual reality zone here, that'll run from December 7 - 24, so make sure not to miss out on that.
