This is the last week to experience Feux Follets Montreal, the massive Chinese lantern festival on Parc Jean-Drapeau island.\nThey also have a huge Halloween-night party planned to close out the season.\nDetails and tickets below!\nVisit MTLBlog for more headlines.\nFeux Follets Montreal is an immersive, giant lantern festival taking place in Parc Jean-Drapeau through October 31, 2019. This means this is your last week to experience this first-of-its-kind event that features towering, illuminated structures to create a world of its own.\nThe event also incorporates 3D holographic animations, including a giant water screen, a drone show and shadows of musicians that may or may not be a figment of our imagination. A Chinese costume parade animates the scene.\nOn Halloween, Feux Follet is hosting a grand finale event to close out the season. Makeup artists will be on site to decorate participants' faces in festive colours before a 2,000-drone show fills the sky above the park — something event organizers claim has never been done before in Montreal.\nBefore going, participants should be aware that this event involves some walking outdoors, so make sure you have dressed appropriately for the weather. Visitors will embark on an interactive journey that was designed to be a truly immersive cultural experience within our city.\nThanks to a little bit of imagination and a lot of technology, Feux Follets have been able to create magic, which is a gift for both our senses and imagination.\nView this post on Instagram Danses et traditions chinoises jusqu’à 31 octobre @parcjeandrapeau . . #feuxfollets2019 #montreal #culture #chinese #danse #sortie #show A post shared by Feux follets (@feuxfollets_) on Sep 25, 2019 at 1:36pm PDT\nView this post on Instagram Les lanternes prennent vie tous les soirs jusqu’au 31 octobre.
