So, Halloween is coming and you don't know what your plans are. You're too old to trick or treat and big parties aren't really your thing. Well, why not switch it up this year by going to enjoy a free outdoor movie theatre while stuffing your face with candy and hot chocolate, and wrapped in 2-3 cozy blankets under the stars?

Parcours Gouin, which aims to allow the population of Ahuntsic-Cartierville to enjoy green spaces and parks along the prairie river, offers you another way to celebrate Halloween this year. Here, The Nightmare Before Christmas will be shown on a big screen for free on Halloween. And small snowflakes may be visiting.

The screening will take place at Parcours Gouin, between 7 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. This means you'll have the rest of the evening to do something else, like preparing your visit to one of the many haunted houses in Montreal and its surroundings.

To avoid getting too cold, I advise you to bring a hot drink, some blankets, and a friend who you can cuddle up with to warm up. The organization also specifies that you must bring your own folding chair.

The Nightmare Before Christmas tells the story of Jack Skellington, who lives in the city of Halloween.

Jack discovers what Christmas is and wants to share his discovery with his city. Will he be able to bring the magic of Christmas to the most terrifying city in the world, Halloween, while many scary creatures live there?

Here is the film's trailer in case if you want to refresh your memory:

It's a movie that's fun to watch, no matter how old you are - especially in a scary Halloween atmosphere.
