Montreal's Huge Riverside Bar & Coworking Space Is Officially Coming Back This Spring
Open-air coworking, live DJs, a bar, and food truck...need we say more?
- Montreal's riverside bar and coworking space, , confirmed on Instagram that it's returning this year.
- The popular space at the tip of Quai King Edward commands sweeping views of the Old Port and river.
When the sun starts shining and the birds start chirping, it can be really hard to hole yourself up inside, keep your head down, and get work done. Plus, once theis over, we all want to be outside all the time. This is why it's awesome that there are so many cool outdoor spaces in Montreal that allow you to get out of your house or your classic office environment and shake things up a bit. And nowhere is quite as magical as , Montreal's riverside coworking space that is only open-air but also equipt with a bar.
Yes, you read that right, Nouvelle Vague lets you swig a beer while studying or sip a cocktail while you crunch the numbers. It's the perfect combination of abut with tons of outlets, too.
Plus, the space features art and photography from local creators, so it's more than just a couple of picnic benches and free wifi (though, those things are there in abundance, as well).
The coworking space featured live DJs on Friday nights last summer, as well as firework parties where you could chill, vibe to some music, have a drink and watch the Loto-Québec fireworks right from the river's edge.
I cannot say enough about how much I loved working at this space last summer. I spent several days hanging out and getting work done at the picnic benches, sipping a beer while I typed away at my laptop.
Which is why I was so excited to hear they'd back again this year thanks to the above Instagram post which confirmed the re-opening in "a couple of months."
A peek at Nouvelle Vague's website showed that the opening is slated for May 2020, though there's no specific date yet so we'll have to keep you posted.
In addition to being a coworking and event space, last year, Nouvelle Vague hosted local vendors for a pop-up market, where you could peruse and purchase locally-made fashion alongside the art on display.
Oh ya... and did I mention there's a food truck on-site?!
