La Ronde's Halloween Festival Starts This Weekend & There's Nowhere To Hide
The undead are around every corner.
- Fright Fest begins at on October 5 and continues through October 27.
- The annual Halloween festival features roaming monsters, horror shows, and special events!
It's the first weekend of October. We could go on, or spend our weekend taking pictures at just outside of the city, but why bother with those when so many places are gearing up for Halloween!
That's it. It's time to get our scare on. First up is, which opens October 5 and runs through to October 27 on Saturday and Sunday nights (and Monday, October 14 of the long weekend).
At 6 p.m. the lights go down and the amusement park becomes a terrifying playground for the undead. Zombies, ghouls, vamps, masked men with chainsaws, and every other nightmarish creature John Carpenter has yet to think of, roam the grounds in search of their next victim.
There are two haunted houses for you to make your way through, if you're not too scared: the Evil Circus 3D, and the District 510 in the Dark. Both of which will test your worst fears.
As you make your way between haunted houses and rides, you will encounter scare zones like Zombie Camps, Vampire lairs and the panic-inducing Trap of Terror — all of whose only goal is to make you wish you brought a change of pants.
The Fright Fest month has a few more tricks up its sleeves like the Bal de la Frayeur on November 1. La Ronde is keeping everyone in suspense as to details but we do know the park will transform into a cemetery once the sun goes down.
La Ronde is also holding thefor those who have no fear of being trapped motionless in a "slightly used" (La Ronde's words, not ours) coffin with limited bathroom breaks. The challenge begins on October 12 and the winner will walk away with $600 and a crippling case of claustrophobia.
There will be live (or dead) shows happening throughout the night like the masked and murderous Chainsaw Guys, the Reaper and its disciples, and the unveiling of the six new Roaming Souls.
Tickets are available for purchase on La Ronde's website or at the door. Some of the haunted attractions do require a separate Fright Pass wristband.
Fright Fest is not recommended for kids 12 and under.
It all starts tomorrow! Get out and experience this adrenaline surging night before it gets!
