Parc Jean-Drapeau's Aquazilla obstacle course is officially coming back for the 2020 season. The course includes a central trampoline, slides, a climbing tower, monkey bars, and giant swing. Visit MTLBlog for more headlines. Consistently positive temperatures are the first indication that springtime warmth is on the way. The wind has softened from a harsh bite to a gentle caress, whispering promises of summertime activities to come. This week, it brought us the news that Parc Jean-Drapeau's Aquazilla floating obstacle course is officially returning this year. A spokesperson for the park gave us a little preview of the 2020 summer program, which will also see the return of the popular floating movie theatre at the aquatic complex. On its website, the park describes the Aquazilla as "a unique 30-by-35 meters inflatable structure comprised of obstacles, slides and platforms for jumping into the water, and much more." "Take the challenge among family and friends and make your way through a course on the platform or put your ability to the test on a series of disciplines on the course!" Among its obstacles are a "wiggle bridge," a central trampoline, slides, a climbing tower, monkey bars, and giant swing. "We aim to create unforgettable moments for those who choose to embark on the adventure," writes the company that produces the Aquazilla on its website. Both children and adults are welcome to try it out at Jean-Doré Beach. Though even the most agile Montrealers might find a bigger challenge than they expect. A spokesperson for the park also tells MTL Blog that as Jean-Doré Beach celebrates its 30th anniversary, Montrealers can expect even more things to do in the area. "There will certainly be entertainment and events related to" the anniversary "in addition to open water swimming, volleyball courts, [and] watercraft rentals." The park has yet to release the opening date and operating hours fo the Aquazilla.
