Because I know I have.\nThere are a lot of things I would want to check out if I had a time machine. I am so curious about what things were like way back when. As someone who loves markets (and shopping all together), I have always dreamt about what those legendary 18th-century public markets were like and this weekend I am going to get to find out first hand... and so can you!\nNo time machine necessary!\nThat's right, the annual two-day 18th-century market hosted by The Museum of Montreal is this weekend in the Old Port. This free event has been going on for over twenty-five years and there is a reason why... it's awesome!\nPointe-a-Calliere’s Public Market is a main event for the Museum and it actually takes place in the exact same spot it used to be held, back when Montreal was New France.\nDuring the 18th century, Montreal was under the French Regime and these markets were held twice a week and let me tell you, it was the place to be back then... and apparently, it is even today!\nBack in the day, markets were all there was when it came to shopping. Everyone went to get literally everything they needed.
