• If you were saddened by the news that the Montreal Symphony Orchestra had to cancel some of its upcoming concerts due to the current pandemic, we have good news for you.
  • The first virtual concert will be broadcasted tonight, March 18, at 8 p.m. and will go be available for a total of 48 hours!
  • Get all the details below.

Montrealers may be stuck at home, but there's still plenty to do. A growing number of institutions are offering services online to keep residents entertained during self-isolation and social distancing. Though the Montreal Symphony Orchestra has been forced to cancel its concerts for the next month, it remains still committed to sharing its work with the public.

Luckily for us, we're still going to be able to stream some of their concerts online! The first one will begin tonight, March 18, at 8 p.m.

Tonight's show that is being broadcasted will be starring the well-known bassoon Stéphane Lévesque, who you can watch explain his performance on the OSM's official Instagram page's story.

Besides having the Montreal Symphony Orchestra's online concerts to keep you busy while at home, you can also partake in some Montrealer's free online workout classes, take a virtual tour of Montreal's Museum of Fine Arts, watch Antoni Porowski's "Quarantine Cooking Lessons," or just get lost in the plot of a good book.

Lévesque's concert will be broadcast tonight at 8 p.m., and remain available for 48 hours, according to OSM's Instagram story, which you can see a screenshot of below.

Luckily for all its fans, the OSM is dedicated to providing online concerts for people to enjoy during this difficult period.

Prepare yourself for some beautiful sounds this evening!

The OSM's online media section will be updated regularly for viewers to check out.

Like what Quebec's Health M said, that the OSM concerts' Instagram shared on their story (see above), "music is essential to my life." As it is to many of ours!

You can find the link for the show starting at 8 p.m. on March 18 here!

Enjoy your quarantine time, my fellow Montrealers.
