Montreal's Place Des Arts Esplanade Will Be Transformed Into An Open-Air Club At The End Of July
Two weekends where Just for Laughs will step up its electronic music game.
Just For Laughs isn't only about comedy, no, no, now there's an entirely new (and arguably more appealing) aspect to the festival: an epic open-air club right in the Place des Arts esplanade. Soon to be known by all as "Le Melting Pot," this is an all new feature of JFL with bars, burlesque, and world-class DJs all set up to make one helluva party.
Le Melting Pot will transform Place des Arts into a nightly club out in the summer air, exclusively for adults. Starting July 12th, the club-zone will have an open-air bars for les dranks, shows by local DJs, and burlesque shows to get things a little more sinful. Well known talent like Black Tiger Sex Machine, Vilify, Shaydakiss, and Jay London (among many others) are on the nightly set list, making Le Melting Pot a solid choice any day of the week.
Two extra-special Le Melting Pot events will be held, featuring some pretty epic DJ-talent, on-site food trucks, and a legit light-show, running from 11pm to 3am. If you were to check out Le Melting Pot on any day, it'd be on:
- July 17th w/ Josh Wink, Nymra & Sofisticated and ROUX Soundsystem
- July 24th w/ Just Blaze, Lunice and High Klassified
If there's one downside to Le Melting Pot, it's that the headlining shows won't be free. July 17th & 24th will cost you a cool $20 (which isn't the most we've paid for a 3-tier show) but the nightly shows (featuring burlesque and comedy performances) are only $10. No need to pay for the nightly DJ sets though, which is awesome news.
Le Melting Pot, the Place des Arts open-air club will begin on July 12th, with the biggest shows going down on July 17th & 24th.
