Montreal's Under Pressure "Graffiti Festival" Is This Weekend
This year marks their 20th anniversary.
Everyone's always going on about Mural Fest, but if you're a true fan of street art then the Under Pressure Graffiti festival is a must-attend event. The festival started in 1996 and has since grown to become the largest and longest running public graffiti event in all of north america. So drop by to come check out all the fun and excitement as the festival celebrates its 20th anniversary.
The reason the festival has lasted so long is that fact that it relies on their wonderful group of local volunteers. If you're too busy to help out, you can always donate to the festival here.
The excitement is already underway with the Art Attack event happening today, featuring 2 expositions as well as artistic and musical performances.
The Outdoor Jam starts Saturday August 8th and ends Sunday August 9th. During that time there will be 2 stages with musical performances to keep the crowd entertained, a breakdancing competition, a kid's area, a skate ramp and of course, lots and lots of graffiti.
