This Heart-Pounding Hanging Labyrinth 2 Hours Outside Montreal Is Open For The Summer Season
Test your courage!
Too often, Montrealers restrict themselves to their urban bubble in the summer season. Montreal is brimming with summer spectacles, events, and festivals, but Quebec is a vast province with much to offer beyond the bounds of its metropolis.
The dozens of nature and adventure parks that dot the Quebec landscape offer novel activities to draw city dwellers from their limited concrete environments. This summer, for example, theis set to open in the Laurentides region.
The "suspended labyrinth" between Montreal and Quebec City also attracts adventurous souls from around the province. The hanging obstacle course is part of the Domaine Enchanteur park in Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel, two hours outside Montreal.
"This climbing activity includes 70 games spread over 4 levels," the Domaine Enchanteur website reads. The course consists of giant webs and nets of rope that stretch between large wooden planks.
In addition to hanging between ropelines, visitors must jump between hanging platforms and across tire swings. Of course, an on-site safety monitor, helmets, and harnesses ensure that participants are never in any danger of falling.
"A monitor will welcome you, put on your harness, and explain how to use the straps," the site explains. "No worries, you are always attached to the lifeline and a monitor supervises the progress of the activity, always ready to help you or encourage you."
However, a dress code does apply. Those who brave the labyrinth must wear closed shoes, Bermuda shorts, and short-sleeve shirts. An online reservation is also required for participation in the course.
A single adult ticket for the labyrinth costs $42.95 while tickets for children aged 5 to 17 are $38.95. A special rate applies for groups of more than 10. You can view all ticket prices here and make your reservation by writing to organizers here.
