We're in September, which means horror buffs are mere weeks away from their favourite spooky holiday, Halloween.\nThere are countless ways to get the crap scared out of you this year, like this Haunted Village in Quebec.\nLet this immersive experience give you nightmares this year! Details below.\nVisit MTLBlog for more headlines.\n\n\n\nAn hour and a half outside of Montreal sits the adorable Village Québécois d’Antan, a historic tourist site where you can learn about what it was like to live in Quebec during the 1800s and 1900s.\nBut come this October, you can learn what it's like to live in a deep, paralyzing fear when the Village Hanté opens its (most likely creaking) doors. And who wouldn't want that?\nThe Haunted Village has over 130 actors ready to scare the ever-loving shit out of you by making you live through your greatest fears and phobias and driving your level of anxiety up to code red level. \nIf nightmares, when you're cozy and safe in your own bed, just aren't giving you a thrill anymore, spend a night here and the 26 horror concepts over 3 kilometres of streets and uneven trails sure will. The terror-filled atmosphere uses your own imagination, torture, witchcraft, the supernatural and all things that go bump in the night to make it worthwhile. \nThere are three main sections. One is for families with children (pfft, not scary enough), one is for 12 years and over, and then there is the 16 years and over that is guaranteed to make your blood run cold. \n\n\n\n\n\nJust watching their Instagram and YouTube videos (see below) was enough to raise the hair on the back of my neck.\nThe 16+ Zone was designed by Hérôle who also designed the Horror Camp where you can pay to be electrocuted and buried alive so you can expect this to be a seriously immersive experience and not your run-of-the-mill haunted house. The site warns, "Visitors to this area may be unsettled by what they will see, due to the shocking appearance of the scenes and proximity of the actors."\nView this post on Instagram Voici Sussane, la meilleure nounou du Village hanté. Elle adoooorre les enfants! Vous pouvez lui faire confiance! Disponible les vendredis et samedis, de 18h30 à 23h30, jusqu’au 3 novembre. Last year's menu served up things like rotten pumpkin, toadstools, rancid beef, moldy crust, and vermin and sarcophagus with the remains of mice and hemoglobin.\nREAD MORE: You Will Be Electrocuted & Buried Alive At This Horror Camp 2 Hours From Montreal\nWith October right around the corner, this is just another of Quebec's amazing horror-filled themed experiences that are making our list. It's going to be hard choosing which ones to visit.\nThis will be the 12th year the village is set up to scare you silly, and each year it seems to get better. From the actors to the sound effects (think screaming, chainsaws, and eerie horror movie music), they have perfected the art of, "OMG, WTF?"\nThe tickets aren't on sale as of yet. While prices last year for adults started at a reasonable $46 with the dinner included, this year's prices have yet to be announced. But there is a limited amount of tickets, so if this is how you like to celebrate Halloween, make sure to keep an eye out for when the tickets are available online, here.\nView this post on Instagram #villagehanté A post shared by Manon Racine (@manon_racine) on Oct 8, 2018 at 10:27am PDT\nLe Village Hante Québécois d’Antan\nWhere: 1425 Rue Montplaisir\nWhen: September 29 to November 2 (click here for the full schedule)\nCost: TBA\nCheck it out here!
