- Céline Dion's fashion fearlessness has given us some seriously iconic looks this summer 2019.
- In addition to touring, Céline has spent all summer being bold and unabashed with her fashion sense.
- Céline Dion will soon be in Montreal to play an epic 6-concert run at the Centre Bell.
Céline Dion's fashion has been nothing short of stunning this summer, and lucky for us she will be in Montreal this week to kick off an epic 6-concert run at the Centre Bell.
So, while some people can't stop talking about Hot Girl Summer, I can't stop thinking about Hot Céline Summer, which is what I've officially started calling summer 2019.
These last couple months have seen our girl Céline serving look after look, and I can't help but feel that the québécoise songstress has really entered a new and empowered chapter of her life.
It's no secret that Céline has been through a lot in the recent past, with the death of her husband and love of her life, René Angélil three years ago, and the subsequent passing of her brother, just two days later.
Luckily, Céline has the support of her three children, along with an undeniably talented team that manages to support and uplift the international superstar as she embarks on this new part of her life.
And though Céline is 51, she seems to show no signs of stopping, since she's already on tour for her new album, Courage, after an impressive stint in Vegas this past year.
Although, to me, the most impressive thing is Céline's full-on foray into the world of fashion with absolute fearlessness.
Take a look at some of Céline's most iconic and fierce looks of the summer below.
It all started with the Met Ball, where Céline is regularly an invitee. For the theme of "Camp," Céline donned silver headdress and gown dripping in sparkles, showing off like a real Ziegfeld Girl.
This was also the iconic night that Céline actually shared a smooch with fellow singer and pop-star, Katy Perry, who was dressed up like a hamburger that night.
See a video of the bisou via the link below.
Now, one might say it's easy for Céline to look fierce because, as mentioned above, she's got a fantastic team behind her, including oft-discussed dancer and ex-Cirque du Soleil member, Pépé Muñoz.
But I'm here to say, glam squad aside, Céline knows fashion and I think, even more importantly, she knows herself.
So even when she's dressed down or doing a more casual look, she still looks amazing and also totally herself.
Take this shirt for example... "Fear of missing out," to some... but Céline has adopted the acronym for her song Flying On My Own and therefore has totally made the simple tee her own, as well.
Céline, of course, always rocks the most stunning gowns during her concerts and performances.
It also helps that Céline has amazing photographers to capture her epic concert moments, like Denise Truscello who took the pictures above!
I would also like to take a moment to appreciate the classic back of Céline pictures that she has totally made a thing. There is something so epic about these pics and her poses that I am obsessed with.
Also, is she wearing two different coloured shoes?! This woman can do no wrong in my eyes, but I think that is just so fun.
Céline often also has the help of her hairstylist, Dee Amore, to snap pics like the ones below.
This goddess-inspired look was shared in early July, marking three months of enviable fashion throughout Hot Céline Summer.
Her gowns are to die for... and have you noticed that she never, ever goes for the simple or obvious choice?
Céline seems to be on a path of pushing boundaries with her fashion these days, which is pretty fantastic and on-brand, considering her own children's clothing line does exactly that.
Here's a couple of looks that perfectly exemplify Céline's ability to master streetwear and glam and pretty much anything in between.
This first look is much more high fashion with chunky, competing layers and a statement boot.
This second look is clean, simple and timeless.
Is it just me, or does Paris really agree with Mme Dion?
I'm also living for Céline's wholehearted embrace of neon colours. Again, being bold is at the top of this fashionista's list of things to do, so a bright and bold colour never hurts.
(Neither do photos snapped by the famous Christie Goodwin.)
Plus, the ballet work that Céline has been doing with one of her former dancers, Naomi Stikeman, is clearly paying off.
The singer is looking fitter than ever, clearly flexible if the picture above is any indication, and she's obviously got no shortage of energy, age be damned.
Céline served up some more fierceness for the cover of Harper's Bazaar US at the beginning of August.
Poses like this really highlight the dance work that Céline has been doing lately, work that has clearly made her more aware and in control of her body, which in turn makes for a very eye-catching model.
It helps that Céline is just so damn cool all the time, too. Even when she's just chilling off-set or backstage she brings outfits and shoes that are undeniably fierce, flirty and fun.
It's clear she never wastes an opportunity to express herself, and using fashion is definitely of Céline's favourite ways to share her inner personality with the world.
If this list of knock-out looks doesn't have you convinced that Céline is a fashion icon for the ages, I don't know what will.
Céline is slated to play six concerts in Montreal at the Centre Bell starting this week. The run will last from September 26th to October 5th before she moves on to Ottawa.
