There's something to be said about a location that completely removes you from reality and takes you on a trip, into a world of fantasy. One property in Quebec has been inspired by J.R.R Tolkien's Lord of the Rings and it allows guests to escape their regular life and see what life is like from inside a hobbit house. This project came to be thanks to Entre Cîmes Et Racine, a company that offers unique lodging options just a little over an hour away from Montreal, in Saint-Lambert.
The Lord of the Rings-inspired lodge, otherwise known as the Hobbit hours, was the first underground dwelling available for rent in the province. The circular doors and windows, wood and stone interior and green roof truly give guests the illusion of entering a world of fantasy.
These tiny micro styled homes are built within the hills and they are truly adorable. The ecolodge has everything needed to accommodate four guests including a dining area, kitchenette, and bedroom with double bunk beds, all within the confinement of one room.
The Hobbit house costs you $155 a night. And, guests should know that this is not a hotel.
So, if you're planning on spending the night, you should come prepared. Bring everything from bedding, towels, headlamps and food in a cooler.
I admit that I'm not the biggest fan of camping, but this Hobbit house seems a lot more home-y than living in a tent for a weekend.
