Environment Canada Warning: Montreal Will Be Hit With Extreme 42°C Heat And Violent Thunderstorms

It may be September 4th, but it feels like July right now in Montreal. The heat seems to be sticking around, and today we can expect another boiling hot day.

Temperatures are skyrocketing and the humidity will be extremely high over the next 2 days.

Today we can expect a high of 32°C, but with the humidex it's going to feel like 42°C!

Overnight there is a risk of thunderstorm but the temperature will only be dropping to 38°C, so if you thought the night was going to offer some relief, think again.

Tomorrow we can expect more of the same. Temperatures will be up to 32°C, but it will feel like 42°C with the humidity.

Heat warnings are issued when high temperature or humidity pose an elevated risk of heat stroke or heat exhaustion.

Environment Canada is warning people that the risks in this kind of heat are greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors.

Luckily a cold front is moving to the east, which will bring temperatures back to normal. Unfortunately it will be accompanied by strong thunderstorms.
