Environment Canada Warning Montrealers To Stay Home If They Can

This morning in Montreal the roads are an absolute mess.

The snow and ice rain that fell overnight had turned the sidewalks into mini ice rinks and the streets aren't much better.

Environment Canada has issued a warning for the Montreal area as of last night. They are asking people to consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.

It's not so bad considering there is a tsunami warning on the other side of the country.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots will be hazardous and ice buildup may cause tree branches to break and fall.

If you must go out there be very careful while walking or driving. Many Montrealers have been walking in the street because the sidewalks are too icy so drivers, please be extra careful out there today.
