Environment Canada Warning: Quebec Will Be Hit With Up To 60mm Of Heavy Rain

Due to intense flooding across the province,Environment Canada has issued a warning for the upcoming days as rain is forecasted nearly everywhere across Quebec this weekend.
On theWarning Page for the Montreal Island area Environment Canada notes that heavy rain is to be expected and even shallow, fast-moving water "can sweet a vehicle or a person away."
This Warning comes on top of the Special Weater Statement made yesterday, as rainfall is now expected to reach up to 60 mm in some areas.
Rain in the forecast is especially unsettling new today after the evacuation of areas around the Hydro Quebec dam on the Rouge River.

We shared the video above yesterday alongside another video of what the water flow usually looks like and it is shocking how much more water there is and how quickly it is really moving.
So it's no wonder why Environment Canada is hoping to alert people of the upcoming rain that is sure to only exacerbate the situation.

These weather alertswarn of "possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts".
They also warn people not to approach washouts in the above-mentioned areas, for risk of being swept away. This is particularly worth keeping in mind in a vehicle, which is heavy and has the ability to impact the integrity of roads.
