Earlier today, we announced that Osheaga just released their first wave of artists. With acts like Mac Demarco and Tame Impala returning to the stage, it seems that Osheaga is returning to its indie roots once again. Along with the artists, Osheaga has also announced many other features of the world-famous festival.
As your number one Osheaga resource, MTL Blog reveals everything that you and your friends will be able to enjoy at the summer's best festival! There's a slew of new events and animations that are guaranteed to delight!
TL;DR After the first wave of artists was just announced, MTL Blog brings you a list of the newest and most exciting things that you can do at this year's edition of Osheaga!
Back to classics!
After a lengthy and quite frankly, annoying two years of renovations at Parc Jean-Drapeau, Osheaga is finally returning to its original site. Osheaga bills the 2019 edition as the HOMECOMING edition and is featuring a slew of new events to go along with the (so far) awesome lineup.
Festivals organizers say that the new site is new, improved, and much more spacious than ever before. The renovations were worth it! The iconic side-by-side stages will also return, this time with Montreal's amazing skyline as their backdrop.
Return of the Osheaga Arts Village!
Osheaga is first-and-foremost, a music festival... but did you know that it's also one of the largest gatherings of local artisans as well? For those who love some arts and crafts along with great music but missed the Arts Village these past two years, it's finally back!
Interactive and digitally immersive!
On the official Osheaga website, visitors can participate in Osheaga Play, a brand-new interactive playscape that allows you to play fun games and win prizes. Each time you send a "postcard" or play a game, you are entered for a chance to win a 3-day Gold Pass for you and 5 of your friends with accommodation.
So much food!
The 2019 edition of Osheaga brings back the YUL EAT Garden, offering full-fledged food and drink services with food trucks and local pop-up restaurants. No chance you'll go hungry!
Hammocks are back!
After eating all that food and drinking all that beer, you'll need a place to chill. The famous hammock village will be back and bigger than ever, nestled into the woods away from the large crowds.
Full lineups and details will be released tomorrow, Tuesday, March 26th!
This year's festival runs from August 2nd to August 4th. Festival passes are on sale now!
