It's celebration time in Canada!
We just smashed our record for medal winnings at the 2018 Olympic games, Weed is about to be legal (someday soon), and the new NDP golden boy tied the knot this month!

Congratulations are in order to Canada's NDP leader Jagmeet Singh and his new wife, Toronto designer Gurkiran Kaur Sidhu.
The couple tied the knot in Mexico in a traditional Sikh ceremony on the beach. This is the wedding dreams are made of! Check out the photos from of the ceremony.
I am an avid NDP supporter, so this is exciting to see for our new NDP leader and his new family. Singh proposed in January, and the wedding ceremonies were celebrated for several days.
With the coming Canadian federal election next year, I was intrigued to do a little digging and find out more about this new, potential first-lady of Canada. *fingers crossed*

What we know about Gurkiran Kaur Sidhu:
- She is 27 years old
- Sidhu is a budding fashion-designer out of Brampton, ON
- She is the co-founder of Jangiiro - a new age Punjabi clothing line
- She does international humanitarian work
- She is a vegetarian

- She loves Montreal - and I think we're gonna love her too!
