In Montreal it’s -17°C this morning and when you factor in the wind chill it feels like -27°C.  This weekend it's going to feel like -30°C and things won't be getting better until tuesday.

The rest of the province can expect pretty much the same forecast only the further up north you go the worse it gets. Mont Tremblant will feel like -32°C on Saturday and some parts of Quebec are going to drop to a dangerous -38°C.

Environment Canada is even warning that there's a risk of frostbite and hypothermia in certain areas. Once temperatures feel like -28 or colder, exposed skin can freeze in under 30 minutes

We checked the weather records for this time of year and not only is this the coldest weather we've seen all winter, but we might actually break the all-time cold temperature record.

Normally at this time of year in Montreal, the coldest it has ever been is around -29°C which is a record that goes all the way back to 1945!
