9 Things Happening At Montreal’s Casino This Month

Escape the cold and have fun indoors!

Raise your hand if you have ever felt personally victimized by mother nature? Yeah, I see you guys. Lately, it seems as though the weather in Montreal can’t make up its mind. I mean, one week it’s 8 and sunny and the next is -30 with a windchill.

And I don’t know about you guys, but when the snow starts falling even when it's supposed to be spring, all I want to do is stay in bed. There is seriously nothing you can say to me to make me want to leave my house.

Actually, there is this one event...

Every year, the Montreal Casino hosts a series of events which are always a good time. I mean, it’s not hard to have fun if you’ve got a group of friends with you - but the Montreal casino always has something super cool and unique to offer! And this year, they’ve got some really fun events lined up, thanks to their "Now Boarding" event, which is transforming the Montreal Casino into a giant airport from March 12 - April 22!

Because, you know, if you can't actually get to Hawaii, this is the next best thing. Actually, thanks to all the fun events going down, this might be even better!

Hot Suitcases

Every Thursday from March 12 to April 22, the Montreal casino is giving away $10,000 to one lucky winner. Yes, you read that right… every single Thursday!

So how does it work? Well, from 7pm to 11 pm, three participants will be selected by draw every hour at the Valet de carreau bar. Each person will be asked to fill up a suitcase with different travel items. The person whose suitcase weighs closest to 23kg without going over wins the game and the designated prize inside the suitcase. The best part? The $10,000 prize is inside one of the suitcases of that night.

And don’t worry if you don’t take home the grand prize cause there are still tons of other prizes to be won like 3 travel packages worth $4,000 each or 10 3-piece luggage sets worth $750.

Prepare to take off

On Fridays and Saturdays starting at 8:45 pm, you can show off your piloting skills by flying an airplane off the ground. Ok, to be fair, you won’t actually be flying a real airplane but the rush you’ll get from standing in front of a screen and piloting your digital aircraft is an experience within its own.

AerographiesVia Montreal Casino

Experience a sky-high dance number every Friday and Saturday between 8pm and 11pm by the flight attendants and ground technicians at the Montreal casino. You can even show off those dance moves that you’ve been working on. Guys, take note… girls love a man who can move.

La boutique in “tax-free mode”Via Montreal Casino

Alright ladies, I’ve got just the event for you. During the Now Boarding activation, there will be a boutique where you’ll find clothing, local and imported food products, jewelry, watches, eyewear, perfume and more with discounts up to 40% off. Time to get that shopping fix in!

Free ComediHa! shows

What’s better than one comedian? A room full of them!

On March 14, 21 and 28, get your butt down to the Montreal casino and witness Mathieu Cyr along with four other talented comedians tear the roof off. Ok, they won’t actually tear the roof off but you’ll leave the show in absolute tears (good tears). And yes, the shows are 100% free.

And if you can’t make it out in March, don’t stress because the Montreal casino has shows happening until May 2.

DJ Miss SheltonVia Miss Shelton

So maybe you’re not into comedy shows… I get it, they’re not for everyone, I mean, who likes to laugh anyway (apparently everyone except for you)?

Maybe you’re into hanging out with the squad and dancing the night away to some EDM hits. Hey, I’m not judging. If you happen to love music and dancing then you’re not going to want to miss DJ Miss Shelton, performing live at the Montreal casino on March 16, 23, 24, 30 and 31 at 8:45 pm at Le Valet.

Pavillion 67 Buffet Gourmand @joealcideembedded via
You’ll want to kick off your night by enjoying a delicious bite at Pavillion 67 Buffet Gourmand. Not only do they have a very relaxed ambiance, but their food is absolutely heavenly and it’ll leave you wanting more. Picture this… cuts of meat, dressed, cut and cooked right in front of your eyes. My mouth is watering already.

Get into the Fun ZoneVia Montreal Casino

No, seriously, get into the zone at the Montreal casino. The Zone is basically a giant playground for young adults. It’s a live explosion of sound and light featuring a festive ambiance and a multi-game area. If you’ve never played blackjack, baccarat, craps or roulette, The Zone is the perfect spot to start learning! Grab your friends and I guarantee you’ll be in for a wild and fun night.

Bar PokerVia Montreal Casino

If you’re looking for something a little more laid back, make sure to visit the Bar Poker where you can catch live sports games on the Poker bar’s screens or even witness major poker tournaments which are often held there. Maybe you want to get inspired by one of the pro’s or maybe you just want to hang out with some friends and watch the big game while enjoying a cold beer and some bar food. The choice is yours!

So it looks like this month is lining up to be a big one thanks to the Montreal Casino. And if you’re still feeling down due to this temperamental Montreal weather, don’t forget to visit the casino this month for their “Now Boarding” event - which includes a whole lot of fun events happening every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Remember, you can even win $10,000 dolla dolla bills. Not to mention, the Montreal Casino is also featuring 3 cocktails as part of their activation which includes the Marley made from sparkling wine and Appleton rum, the Paloma with tequila and pink grapefruit juice and finally, the Litchi Thai featuring gin and lychee liqueur!

What are you waiting for? Grab the squad and head to the Montreal casino this month. For more information and the full lineup of events, check out the Montreal casino website here or visit their Facebook and Instagram
