There are some things in life that just make everything better, like cheese.
Aside from being the ultimate comfort food, cheese is universally delicious and pairs well with literally everything. You can grill it between bread, add mounds of it to pizza, grate it on top of pasta, soften it to make desserts, and — perhaps best of all — melt it for dipping.
There's something incredibly comforting about indulging in a warm dish of melted cheese, especially in the winter. If you're an expert at stuffing your face with cheese, you'll know the sweet satisfaction of dipping bread, vegetables, and pretty much anything else you want into a big pot of gooey fondue on a cold day. Fondue really does make everything better, so when there's an opportunity to dig into its glory, you don't pass that up.
This month at Auberge Saint-Gabriel, a trendy gastronomic restaurant in the heart of the Old Port, you can enjoy an entire dinner dedicated to fondue. Over three courses (a charcuterie entrée, cheese fondue, and dessert), you'll be introduced to local cheeses paired with toasty bread.
Starting at 6:30 p.m., these tasty three-course suppers will take place on February 20, 21, 22, and 29. Bring your girls, your guys, your S/O, or head out on your own and meet a few new friends who love cheese as much as you do! Tickets are $65 (taxes and service not included) per person and donations of $10 will be given to the Food Banks of Quebec.
