Officially marking the return of summer, the 23rd Mondial de la bière finally returns this June 8-12 at Palais des Congrès. Always a top event, enjoy numerous festivities entirely dedicated to tasting amazing beers from around the world, eating phenomenal culinary delights, and of course, having an awesome time with your friends while doing it.
Firmly established here in North America, and with editions now happening in Brazil and France, Montreal's annual Mondial de la bière has become one of the largest and most respected beer festivals in the world. So whether you're a consummate connoisseur, or just the casual sipper, there is a little something for everyone, and excitement you don't want to miss.

BEER BREWING WEEK
Leading up to the festival, from June 6 to 12, is Brewing Week which offers a full range of activities focused on beer and brewing gastronomy.
Goose Island Master Class (June 10 & June 11, 2016 from 10 A.M. to 6 P.M)
Six seminars and two panels hosted by three world renowned experts to talk all things beer. Get your tickets and find out more here.
Guided Beer Tours
With the help from an assortment of experts, choose from 3 different 45-minute tasting tours to discover the festival like you never have before. The themes are : "IPA: Intense Pleasure Assured" - "Funkytown" - "I Don't Like Beer". The activity is free but beer coupons required. Visit booth # 932 for Mondial beer school.
Sorties Flaveurs is all about combining beer with fine dining, showcasing beer as the noble product it is. For the fourth edition, the Mondial is challenging Montreal’s most daring chefs to create signature dishes cooked with beer for your tasting pleasure. Click here to see all participating restaurants.
The Great Cask Event (June 9 from 3 P.M. to 7 P.M.)
Last year’s CASK event was such a big hit, it's back for a second edition, in collaboration with the BENELUX team, presenting 16 beers in CASK the traditional way! The best cask will be announced on Sunday June 12, as voted by the public, with a grand prize for the winner. Admission is free, but reservation is required. Beer/Cheese & Beer/Chocolate Pairing Workshops
Beer/cheese and beer/chocolate pairings along with new other beer discoveries open to all.
The "Off Mondial"
These evenings take place in artisanal breweries, brewpubs and beer bars across Montreal during the festival. They provide perfect opportunities to unveil special or collaborative brews, often with foreign brewers.

LES TERRASSES FLAVEURS BIERES & CAPRICES
Three special events held inside the site that showcase special food pairings, spirit tastings, and more.
FBC Gastronomy (June 8 & June 9 from 4 P.M. to 9 P.M.)
Five renowned Montreal chefs, a cheese-maker, a chocolate expert and some talented brewers will unite to offer gastronomic finger food paired with local beers! Tickets and details here.
FBC Spirits (June 10 from 3 P.M. to 11 P.M.)
Many distilleries, present or represented will gather to offer spirits tastings! This new discovery initiative will be held for one day only. Access to this event is free, but coupons are required for tasting.
"Meet the brewers" (June 8, June 9, & June 12)

THE FESTIVAL ITSELF
The Mondial de la bière is a unique tasting festival based on learning, tasting, sharing, and of course, drinking responsibly. What makes this festival so special is its exclusive offer of international beers, along with the presence of important players from Quebec’s beer industry and beyond.
There is honestly way too many participating food-makers to mention, but suffice it to say, there will be food, and lots of it! Think cheese, kangaroo burgers, smoked BBQ, poutine, charcuterie, pretzels, fudge and everything in between.
Admission - Free
Admission is free with tasting coupons costing a $1 each. Tastings cost between 2 to 8 coupons for 2 to 8 ounce servings, and the Mondial de la bière souvenir glass is designed to accommodate one or two 2-oz samples per tasting, depending on the beer.
