Well, friends, we made it. Pat yourself on the back. We're officially closing the book on 2017 very, very soon.
But before that happens, there's a whole bunch of awesome things waiting for us at the end of December, leading up to 2018. I mean, let's be real though: we live in Montreal. OF COURSE there are a whole bunch of awesome things waiting for us to celebrate the end of the city's fabulous 375th birthday!
And one spot in particular where some seriously fun things are going down this December? Old Montreal, of course!
This year, Merry Montreal is organizing three AMAZING events leading up to 2018. And the best part? All of these events, happening between December 21 - January 1, are completely FREE to attend. And if you're a little lost as to what exactly they are? Well, no worries! We've got your back:
The very first free event going down is the Nordic Square, happening from December 21-31.
This massive, 8-day free event will take over Place Jacques-Cartier with warming zones, musical performances (like live choir and jazz shows!), a tasting bar with Quebec beers and local products and a whole lot more fun festivities! Plus, there'll even be a photo booth and Nordic activities going down - like tug of war and snow Bocce Ball!
But if partying is more your style, no worries! Merry Montreal will also be throwing a huge, two-day outdoor winter party on December 29 and 30 starting at 6:00 PM.
Called Music On The Docks, this crazy fun and crazy festive party will feature DJ figxfalz and live performances from Rymz, Alaclair Ensemble and Karim Ouellet. Plus, there'll be a super fun winter beer garden to compliment the awesome local artists playing.
These super fun, festive and FREE events are going down right before Christmas and continuing right on until New Years Eve. So if you're looking for something awesome to do during that time in between Christmas and New Years, you know where you gotta go!
But if you're looking to really end 2017 with a bang? Well - you guessed it - Merry Montreal has got you covered.
Their huge, free New Year's Eve Party starts at 6:00 PM and is sure to be LIT. It's going to feature local Quebec artists such as Vincent Vallières, Deuxluxes and Daniel Belanger.
Sounds like the most fun, festive and straight-up magical time you can have this holiday season? Oh, friends. You know it does.
